Thank you for considering Fontbonne for your daughters' education.

Fontbonne Academy opened its doors in 1954 on its current Milton campus. Fontbonne, sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston, is a Catholic, college preparatory high school  and early college for remarkable young women. Fontbonne fosters Gospel values and educational excellence. This inclusive community embraces diversity in many forms. Through the values of respect, responsibility, reconciliation and reverence, Fontbonne promotes growth in spirituality, scholarship, and leadership of young women in the changing world.

Today, Fontbonne teaches more than 250 girls from more than 40 cities and towns across Greater Boston and the South Shore. Our community is our strength and the reason our students and alumnae are confident, courageous women.

In response to the growing need for rich and rigorous academic opportunities for girls, Fontbonne recently announced the addition of 7th grade for Fall 2021 and an 8th grade offering for Fall 2022. Fontbonne’s scholar-centered education and diverse student population prepares girls for the collegiate experience and fosters an environment to grow in self-confidence, develop problem solving skills, and forge a unique academic path, while cultivating lifelong relationships with peers, mentors and educators. As we continue to develop our early college programming, our students will have more opportunities to take advantage of comprehensive offerings within our programs through athletics, internships, dual enrollment as well as co-curricular activities.

Fontbonne’s rich history and commitment to the charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph is evident in all programs at Fontbonne. It is our mission to provide an excellent, individual, student centered education. This past year has taught us how important it is for Fontbonne to be accessible to students who deserve an opportunity to grow and flourish in an academic community grounded in faith, inclusion and unity.
